How To Delete/Enroll Fingerprints on the iPhone
If your iPhone won’t recognize your fingerprints anymore, you can delete the current fingerprints and register them again (passcode required). - Delete the faulty fingerprints: Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and enter your passcode when prompted to. Select the faulty fingerprint(s) and then tap on Delete Fingerprint.
- Enroll new fingerprints: Use another finger or enroll the same finger multiple times to improve the accuracy of the Touch ID feature.
If fingerprints are not working and you no longer remember your passcode, then the only alternative is to restore your device, which in the process will delete all your personal data and custom settings. You can read the full procedure here, on Apple’s website.
